Its what we can’t see. As we go about our daily routines we are surrounded by allergens, bacteria, virus and pests. Most of these denizens that share our domains can even be seen with the naked eye. But they’re there in the thousands. The ones we can see are disturbing enough. But what we can’t is the real problem. Nadia’s House Cleaning outlines the important of maintaining a clean house below.
Effective Cleaning for Removing Allergens
Those of us who suffer from allergies must run the gamut of the pollen season, every year our health spirals down as our over activated immune systems attempt to protect us from pollen. These airborne particles accumulate in our carpets, upholstery, air ducts and surfaces, causing misery, swollen eyes and runny noses. But pollen is not the only thing there are others.
Clean Mold with Vinegar
Anywhere there is water, whether a leak, high humidity or neglected spill; there is the creation of a birthing area for molds. As spores spread, mold destroy carpets, walls and are major allergens as they dry and their spores drift through the air. Regular white distilled vinegar can be used to clean mold on a variety of surfaces but should not be used on natural stone, waxed wood, cast iron or aluminum.
Disinfect Surfaces to Kill Bacteria & Viruses
AC ducts carry air which carries bacteria and viruses. They may exacerbate the flu seasons by extending their touch. Virus and bacteria infections are all around us. Generally, our immune system is enough to prevent a lot of down time due to disease causing viral and bacterial infections. But bodily defenses can be overwhelmed. This is why routine cleaning is so important.
Clean to Get Rid of Dust Mites
Mites, dust mites are actually a beneficial insect that is so tiny it is difficult to see. They chew away at all the detritus that we and our pets shed daily. But if the mite population explodes, we breath in their feces causing allergic reactions for some. Dusting with a damp cloth and washing bedding regularly can assist in remove dust mites.
Clean a House to Keep Bugs Away
Natural fibers like wool are preyed upon by carpet beetles. Cotton, wool and other natural fibers are vulnerable. But even those that are not eating our carpets are breeding, leaving trails of waste and are living on our discards like crumbs and other dropped tidbits. But where there is prey there are predators. The family Arachnida contains some of our more common house guests, the spiders and scorpions and being the apex predators of the insect world, they move in where there is prey. The other creepy-crawly are the centipedes. The multi-legged predators have voracious appetites. What these have in common are that they are loaded with toxins. Not a real problem, sure their stings and bites hurt, but most of us can shake of the pain and swelling in few days. But for some of us these toxins are allergenic. Many of us suffer from these stings and bites and they can be life threatening, particularly to the most vulnerable, the elderly on the very young. The roach, cockroaches, are known disease carriers, something they seem to excel in. Suppose you have brought in that pest control specialist to ride you of all the vermin, both insect and mammalian. Remember, that most rodents that share our homes are disease carriers as well and leave disease and allergenic deposits behind. What then? House cleaning is the best way to prevent pests in the home.
