Cleaning your home is a daily event. Typically, folks have a routine where daily cleaning consists mostly of tidying up. Floors get vacuumed, things get put away, and dishes get done. On a day appointed in the week, the more serious cleaning happens; bathrooms scrubbed, floors mopped, dusting, and so on. Periodically the other chores that need to happen become obvious, and the longer they go neglected, the more obvious it becomes. But seeing the accumulation of extras build up can be very overwhelming, and often get pushed to the back burner. Well, today we at Nadia’s House Cleaning would like to share some ideas on how you can divvy up the more intense chores throughout the duration of the year to avoid the accumulation and stressful frenzy of getting your home in tip top condition.

Yearly House Cleaning Schedule

For your convenience we have prepared a 12 month project list, but don’t feel compelled to perform the tasks on the months we assigned, as you can change them around to better convenience you. These are just some ideal months to tackle the jobs that need doing.
– January: During this month, on a day you are committed to cleaning the bathroom, afford yourself some extra time to clean out the medicine cabinet, drawers, and cupboards. Toss expired medicines, and either trash or donate some of the things you simply don’t use any more.
– February: Whether you decide to incorporate this job during the course of your weekly cleaning, or want to dedicate a day to solely perform this project, you will want to clean the places that area that is hard to reach; behind the refrigerator, stove, couches, and so on.
– March: Carpets, tile and grout, and hardwood floors should be professionally cleaned and treated accordingly. Deep cleaning and treatments do not just enhance the floors beauty, but it contributes to the overall condition and longevity of the different types of floors.
– April: With spring in the air, pick an ideal day to clean the windows, inside and out as well as the screens. Be sure rain is not in the upcoming forecast and wash the windows, sills, and screens thoroughly. Asses the condition as well and if need be get weather-stripping in place to keep the sills clean and your HVAC efficiency high.
– May: Tackle the pantry and cupboards next. Clean up the spills, throughout expired food, and put food and ingredients that are not adequately packaged in sealable containers to protect them from pests and seal in freshness.
– June: Mattress, duvets, blankets, comforters, spreads, and pillows need to be thoroughly cleaned. If you wish, hire a professional to come in and provide a deep cleaning service on your mattress. Wash all the bedding and linens, including those stored in the closet. For linens and bedding don’t frequently get used, place a dryer sheet or 2 in between the folded articles to help keep them fresh.
– July: This is a good month to dedicating your efforts into your garage and/or basement. Trash the garbage, donate the no longer wanted items or have a yard sale, recycle outdated electronic equipment, and go through it all. Organize and methodically place the bulky things.
– August: Go through all the storage closets, clothing closets, and drawers. Trash the rags, and donate the clothes you and other things you simply don’t use any more.
– September: Wipe down all the walls and ceilings to removes the dust and spot wash any stains. If necessary, touch up any paint where it is needed.
– October: Perfect month to plan for the holidays ahead by getting the freezer, refrigerator, microwave, and ovens cleaned and organized.
– November: Polish silver and other materials throughout your home, wash the china, and dust inside the china cabinet.
– December: Go through the old file cabinet and discard appropriately the documents you no longer need.
